A food manufacturer needed to gently portion and transport bulk loaded sausage pieces evenly and accurately for further processing and packaging.
Triton Innovation, LLC. manufactured a large Stainless Steel Metering Hopper with a Stainless Steel Vibratory Feeder mounted below to help distribute even amounts of product from a bulk loading container to the packaging line. The Stainless Steel Metering Hopper, equipped with a manually adjustable discharge gate located at the base of the Hopper, allowed batches of bulk-fed sausage pieces from large totes to dispense onto the tray of the Vibratory Feeder below. From here, the speed of the Vibratory Feeder was adjusted to allow for gentle, accurate, and consistent transportation of product to the discharge end of the tray. Finally, an incline conveyor positioned at the end of the tray conveyed even portions of sausage pieces for further processing and packaging. After integrating Triton’s equipment into their production line, this customer saw an increase in daily production capabilities by approximately 12,000 pounds!
